Kara O'Briant
Founder, Zin Kids Day Camp · Director, Zin Yoga Studio
Kara started Zin Yoga Studio in Garner with a simple belief: that a movement community could be built on something deeper than fitness. That belief grew into Zin Kids.
With a background in yoga, wellness instruction, and community-building, Kara brings a rare combination of calm and energy to the camp — the calm of someone who knows what she's building, and the energy of someone who genuinely loves working with kids.
Abby Schoenfeld
Director, Zin Kids Day Camp
Abby is an educator, leader, and creative whose life's work is rooted in pouring into children, families, and communities. With a background in educational leadership, instructional coaching, and ministry, she brings warmth, structure, and joy to every session.
Abby holds a North Carolina Teaching License, Principal License, Cognitive Coaching Certification, and CPR/AED/First Aid Certification, with a Master's in Elementary Education from NC State and a Certificate in School Administration from Appalachian State.
What Every Zin Kids Staff Member Brings
Before any adult works with campers at Zin Kids, they meet every one of these requirements.
Background Check
Criminal background check and sex offender registry check completed before first day of camp.
CPR / First Aid
All staff are CPR and First Aid certified before the first day of camp.
Two-Adult Rule
No adult is ever alone with a single child. Two-adult rule enforced during all sessions.
Safety Orientation
All staff complete orientation on our child safety protocols before the season begins.
